Code of Conduct
NATIONAL CODE OF TOURIST CONDUCT
PREAMBLE
Inspired by the Global Code of Ethics for Tourism, with a view to arouse the interest and engagement of all the use of tourism for the progress, prosperity and welfare of the country and its citizens, including businessmen, local communities and tourists and determined to act to minimize the potential negative effects of tourism on the environment and on cultural heritage, thereby increasing the benefits to communities living in areas of tourist activities and explorations.
The signatories to this Code of Conduct National Tourist:
Recognizing the importance of tourism for the economic and social development of the country, in particular the eradication of poverty;
Aware that tourism represents a living force in the service of peace, as well as a factor of unity and friendship among peoples of the world and different citizens and national communities;
Whereas the continued rapid growth of tourist activities and explorations, results of motivations for leisure, business, culture, religion can produce both positive and negative effects on the environment, economy and society in general;
Having intended to promote responsible tourism and sustainable, accessible to everyone in the rights and legitimate interest that everyone has to use their free time or leisure travel, and respect for social choices of citizens and national communities;
Considering that all agents involved in the development and promotion of tourism, including companies linked to the tourism sector, workers in the tourism sector, civil society organizations and all organizations concerned with the promotion of tourism, and the receiving community, the media and the tourists themselves, have different responsibilities but interdependent, individual and social recovery in tourism;
Interested in fostering a true collaboration and partnerships between the public, private and local communities in tourism development;
Establish and agree to observe the following:
First
(Objectives)
1. The National Code of Conduct for Tourist, here also referred to as Code of Conduct Tourist or simply by CCT establishes principles and rules for everyone assumed, consciousness and free will, and guiding its activities and interventions in tourism, with the aim of promotion and development of sustainable and responsible tourism.
2. The principles and rules contained herein shall not preclude the assumption and compliance with other laws and constants of good tourist.
Second
(Acession)
This Code of Conduct Tourist is open to accession by all stakeholders in the tourism industry, including tour operators, hotels and tourism associations, associations and other civil society organizations, local communities, tourists and other stakeholders.
Third
(Tourism's contribution to mutual understanding and respect among men, local communities and people)
1. Tourism activities will be undertaken with respect to the specificities and traditions of each region, taking into account local habits and customs.
2. Encourage communities residing in tourist sites and local tourism professionals, to treat with respect the tourists and visitors to inform them about the customs and modus vivendi site.
3. Operators are obliged to inform the tourists to observe strictly the existing national legislation, contributing to the prevention of violations and refraining from practices which may damage the local environment.
4. Operators are obliged to inform tourists to respect the natural, historical and cultural, as well as the habits, customs and beliefs of local communities.
Fourth
(Tourism as a vehicle for individual and collective development)
1. Tourism is considered a privileged means of individual and collective development and a means of education and learning through the exchange of experiences between people, cultures, communities and citizens.
2. The signatories, in the development of their business and tourism interventions, will practice and not condemn practices for discrimination of people based on color, race, sex, nationality, ethnic origin, place of birth, religion, level of education, social position, profession , political or based on any other criteria.
3. Be repudiated and denounced the acts leading to exploitation
human beings, especially child sex tourism, either as a supplier or as a consumer.
4. The tours on grounds of religion, health, education and
cultural exchanges are a form of tourism and will be encouraged.
Fifth
(Tourism as a factor of sustainable development)
1. The parties involved in the promotion and development of tourism, will act to safeguard the environment and the resources it contains and will contribute to the strict observance of the principles and rules contained in the current environmental legislation in the country.
2. The signatories will collaborate, will favor and encourage the practice of tourist activities that allow the protection of animal and plant species and endangered ecosystems that sustain them.
3. The signatories undertake to not pay bribes or acts of corruption.
4. The subscribers shall, by law, all precautions
necessary to prevent negative environmental impacts of their development projects and contribute to the preservation and enhancement of the environmental quality of their deployment locations.
Sixth
(The user of the cultural heritage tourism and contributing to its enrichment)
Tourism activities will be developed respecting the artistic heritage, archaeological and cultural, that must be preserved and transmitted from generation to generation.
Seventh
(Tourism, beneficial activity for host communities and cities)
1. Whenever possible subscribers will primacy to local communities, in hiring labor.
2. The signatories undertake to give priority to partnerships with local communities.
3. The underwriters assume social responsibility and corporate environmental site where they develop their activities and undertake to provide proof of this commitment through concrete initiatives and practices.
Eighth
(Obligations of stakeholders in tourism development)
The underwriters will provide tourists with clear, concise and objective about the tourist destinations, including relevant legislation and conditions for travel and subsistence.
Ninth
(Tourism Access)
1. The signatories to this Code of Conduct Tourist
encourage the development of social tourism, which allows citizens greater access to leisure, travel, vacations and other leisure activities and recreation.
2. Support to the extent possible the development of tourism
Community as a way of valuing the traditions and culture and allow local tourism is an alternative source of income generation for rural poverty reduction.
3. Support as far as possible the development of

Tenth
(Freedom of Tourism Trips)
The signatories undertake to ensure that tourists enjoy, without any discrimination, freedom of movement at tourist sites, subject to applicable legal limitations.
Eleventh
(Rights of the workers and entrepreneurs of Hospitality and Tourism )
1. Subscribers promote appropriate training for their employees.
2. Similarly, these workers are entitled to a fair and equitable compensation, whatever the origin of the investment.
3. The exchange of experiences among workers in the tourism sector will be encouraged, as a factor in promoting growth in the tourism industry nationally and internationally.
4. The underwriters are committed to take necessary measures to comply with the environmental quality standards prevailing in the country.
